How Not to Start a Week

1.  Dana left town today for Washington.

2.  Anna Grace wasn’t feeling well in the night so I put her in bed with me.  Translation… Anna Grace slept, I didn’t.

3. Anna Grace was coughing early today so I kept her home from school.  She has entirely too much energy to be “sick”…. but its too late to just send her to school.

4. My in-laws are supposed to come and watch her tonight so I can go to knitting.  As soon as she coughs once, just once, my MIL will bolt and refuse to watch her.  So….might as well call and confess and save them the trip.  This should be fun.

5. Anna Grace is now trying to convince me that she’s not sick and that she should go to school.

6. I’m still sleepy from all the “sleep” that Anna Grace got (while crowding me out of my own bed) and I didn’t get.  So. Not. Fair.

7.  It’s gonna be a long week.

  1. One day, without even realizing it, you will be used to Dana’s travels. In fact, dare I say it, you will actually look forward to him going out of town. This spoken from a wife (whose husband works at home when he is in town) who has made peace with work travel. James is actually gone 3 of the 4 weeks of the month..at least parts if not whole weeks. I have my own little routine for when he’s gone…and it works great…when he’s home…he likes to mess with the routine…and this makes me very unhappy!!!
