How About a List?

or…. Random Unconnected Thoughts.

1. Cardboard can still be seen in all rooms of the house.  It’s growing on me.  PJ mentioned in the comments how she hates the smell of cardboard and I cracked up.  I thought I was the only one who realized that the stuff has an odor.  I’m known as the possessor of the over sensitive nose (Question repeated most often by me?  What stinks?) so, I thought it was just me.  Glad to know there are other members in the club.

2. I updated the shop and added Pigeon Roof Studios yarn in addition to Pigeon Roof Studios Roving.  Having a hard time keeping my hands off of that roving.  I want to hold it and pet it and call it George.

3. At least one member of the family has fully adjusted to the "new digs".  Chloe seems to think that this is her kingdom and she has now decided that Anna Grace’s beanbag chair should actually be her throne.  In addition, just prior to the move, she… for the first time ever!!!!!…. took an interest in yarn.  A very unwelcomed interest in yarn.  And she stole stuff out of my personal stash!!!!!!  She must have heard me threaten her very existence because her reign of yarn terror has come to an end.  And it appears that it tired her out.

I am Chloe, attacker of all things sheepish and dyed pretty colors.

4. Watching Keith Oberman the other night and heard an interesting, but not too flattering, knitting reference.  In describing the debate in South Carolina and the torturous exchange that will not stop being talked about between Hilary and Obama, the subject turned to Wolf Blitzer not having an easy time of moderating the discussion.  Keith Oberman then said that he didn’t hold Wolf Blitzer accountable for that because trying to moderate that debate would be like trying to teach mental patients to knit.

So gather your weary, your heavy laddened and your pointy sticks.  And poke Keith Oberman in the  arm with the things!!!!!!  All of us… everyone.  UNITE!

5. On a calmer, less violent note, I won a contest.  A blog contest. Kim had a contest on her blog and I was a winner and yesterday I got my prize.  My yummy, yummy prize.

It is from Karen’s Heavenly Creations and it the color is Blueberry Hill.  I can’t stop petting it, the yarn is just so soft and so pretty!!!!  The base is Kona Superwash and it is soooooo soft.  And it smells good too.  (Hello, my name is Kris and I am a yarn sniffer).  Thanks Kim!!!!

6. Yesterday was the primary here in Florida…. the day all the politcal types were waiting for, the reason they invaded us 7 days ago, etc.  Today is the day all the Floridians were waiting for….. the day when all those freaks and geeks would go home and leave us alone.  Today is a lovely day.

7. My hippopotamus sock took a turn for the worse and a serious frogging is in my future.  But I will only be frogging back to the ribbing so my original cast on will still be in place.  Unless I chuck the whole thing.  Update to come.

8. Is the blog moving or not?  Yes.  It just isn’t ready yet. But it is moving.  Afterall, can you think of a better time than now?  Chaos surrounds us, all our possessions are in boxes and there are 50 bazillion things to do.  None of which have anything to do with the blog.  So, of course, now would be the perfect time to move the blog!

I think that’s all I’ve got.  How’s that for boring!

Toodles, Y’all!
