What Else is Happening?

How about a listy list?

1.   It. is. cold.  Wicked cold.  Warmer in Washington State than it is here.  COLD.

2.  Actually had my daughter, my FLORIDIAN daughter, walk up to me yesterday and say “My friend Ashley slipped on the ice on the playground.  She cut her head on an icicle.”  Thought she was confused but, turns out, the kid had her facts right.  Playground was iced over, chaos ensued.

3.  The Grinch has taken over my soul and I can’t wait until January 2nd…the first day of the non-Christmas season.

4.  I am enjoying (in spite of my grinchiness) driving around town at night and seeing Christmas lights.  Lots more lights up this year than last year.  Good times, good times.

5.  I’m doing baking-ish things today. Alert the media.  And the fire department.

6.  AG got sick, healed up.  Went to church, went to school, caught something completely different.  NICE.  So our days are filled with make up school work, nebulizer machines and a child who is so wiped out at this point that she falls asleep at 4 in the afternoon.  Thankfully she’s starting to improve, returned to school and her energy is slowly coming back.

7.  When asked what he wanted for Christmas, husband actually suggested that I just buy his bottle of vitamins for him and stick those in his Christmas stocking.  This did not go over well.

8.  Jack Henry has his first tooth.  His days of gnawing on momma’s finger or shoulder or chin (nope, not kidding) are OVER.

9.  Learned that my ankle pain was caused by stress fractures (yes.. plural).  No running until January and I got a special bonus prize:  I get to experience my first bone density scan today.   Just what every girl wants for Christmas!

10.   After months of trying to navigate running the business and childcare for JH, I think Dana and I may have actually come up with a  plan that just might work.  Hopefully we can implement it in January.   Fingers crossed.

Well, that’s all that is going on around here.  What’s going on with you and  yours?

  1. It’s turning a bit cold here for my tastes, too. There was ice on all the puddles at the dog park yesterday. Not good, not good at all.

I’d get Dana the vitamins just out of spite for that comment.
