How about a list? The brain is a wee overwhelmed and such.
1. The house (as of this writing) has a contract. A sale contract. Inspection today. Squee!
2. With our history of flaky buyers with our previous house, I’m sure you’ll understand if I’m not totally celebrating just yet…. I’m just waitin’ to see if these guys are going to stick with this or flake out. I suppose it hasn’t sunk in yet.
3. Spent yesterday looking for houses to rent. No need to stay in a teeny weeny Casa-de-Cheapo when you can have space….. beautiful space.
4. Told Dana I’m refusing to buy a house just yet. Between the house here in Florida and the house in Washington I’m SOOOOOOO tired of all things real estate. Need a break.
5. Did y’all see the comments yesterday? Cool surprise… Dana’s cousin popped in.
6. True story…. I used to read a knitting blog (Kathleen’s) before I ever learned to knit. (And I was so silly and out of touch that I thought she was the only knitting blog there was). I wanted to knit so much but didn’t have time for a class.
7. Then I had Anna Grace and I got this adorable knitted sweater/hoodie from Dana’ s cousin. The cousin in the comments. It was handknit and adorable. I would just sit and look at it, evaluate every stitch, every seam and just wishwishwish I could knit.
8. Five months later Hurricane Charly comes barreling through here, we’re bored and I convince Dana to see if he can figure out the pictures in a "learn to knit" book. And the rest is history.
9. So….. everyone wave Hi to Kandee (alas….blogless)…. between Kathleen’s blog and Kandee’s knitted gift I became obsessed that I had to learn to knit. And now I do… thanks to their inspiration.
10. We have winners for yesterday’s contest. The theme for the winners is "blogless". And the answer….as I think you realize…. is KIESTER (pronounced KEEster).
11. According to the email time stamp we had a tie for first. Cousin Kandee (no blog) and Elaine (also….no blog) won for first place. I have addresses for each. And each wins an OnLine Supersocke. Does Dana still work in the industry? That is so cool! Tarzan and Mulan was easy to find, but I had to dig a little deeper to find Brother Bear. It is not listed on his IMDB page.
BTW…when is his birthday? Maybe we’re born on the same day? Mine is the 29th. We might commiserate with each other about the shittiness of having a birthday so close to christmas, LOL.

Given the way the real estate market is right now, I hope the contract holds and the sale goes through. But you are right just wait and rent a house with space. In the meantime, you can take your time and look and maybe find a bargain.

Now what’s Dana’s favorite (hi birthday guy)? We went on the water taxi in Fort Lauderdale last year and they did a sort of narration. He said that the guy who played the original Tarzan lived in a house on one side of the river, and the actress who played Jane lived on the other, and he would swim across to see her. I think it was supposed to be a joke, but since you live in Florida, I’ll go with Tarzan as Dana’s favorite.
Having an odd name really helps in the search. I also found Tarzan, Mulan, and Brother Bear.

I love Mulan. We were just talking about it last night as a friends daughter has just gotten into it. Gracie and I saw it in London. I think I double dipped movies that night…could I have seen Titanic that day too? It was a two movie day…Grandma was visiting and babysitting well used. Gracie had this beloved black Barbie…Kursula was or name or something like that. When Gracie got a new Barbie all new clothes were given to the beloved. We found her the other day and she was in Mulan’s dress.
Gracie and I saw a Mulan show at Disneyland Paris and they were chucking necklaces to the audience. I am not athletic in any way (read spazz) but I stuck my hand up and caught one. It is hanging on her lamp now.
