1. I plied the singles that I had spun up yesterday with some black alpaca top.  Although my spinning leaves a lot to be desired, this is actually the best plying job I’ve ever done.

2. Stepfather went back to the nursing center day before yesterday. Today he went back into the hospital.  Has pneumonia.

3. Learned today that the insurance with Dana’s employer will be changing.  We’ve been fortunate that large portions of Anna Grace’s therapies were going to be covered under the old plan.  With the new plan it appears that we will have to cover all of her therapy expenses.  That totals $360.00 per week.  We had planned on added expenses when Anna Grace started PROMPT but we didn’t see this insurance change  coming.  My head is spinning.

4. Potty Training Update:  Still not working out.  Anna Grace is spending every moment that she is at home in underwear instead of pull ups.  Lots of accidents.  No successes.  Getting desperate.

5. Knitting…. no change.

    1) Nice yarn! Before you know it, you’ll be plotting to sell handspun…

    2) Sorry about your stepdad.

    3) Insurance games suck.

    4) The potty training will come. I found that not forcing the issue was the best way to get Emma to do her business the potty. And lots of hugs and cheering when she made it. (Also, having her help clean up the mess….)

    5) No change in my knitting either.

  2. Following Sue’s lead:

    1) Nice yarn indeed! I would knit with that!

    2) Hope this visit can get SD figured out once and for all

    3) Maybe you can carry supplemental insurance that I am sure would cost you less than $1200+ a month – even if there is “pre existing” in the long run it will probably save you lots of $$.

    4) Got nothin’ :)

    5) Knitting you say?

    6) ((((Kris))))

  3. Oh I forgot, I had cheese grits for dinner and I thought of you! (I just felt like something light and cheesy – grits isn’t usual dinner)April 14Th baybee!! :)

  4. Gentle hugs to you, Kris! I know it is hard but HANG IN THERE – God is faithful and never leaves us (just feels like that sometimes!) I am glad to see that Anna Grace is doing well according to the evaluations – the potty training will happen!

Your spinning and plying look lovely – I can’t do it so I admire those who can.

You, Dana, and Anna Grace are in my prayers.

  5. I agree with everyone else. Your yarn looks great, your insurance company sucks, and you can’t rush potty training. If it’s not happening this week go back to pullups and try again in a few days or a week.

  6. Hey! Way to go on your beautiful ply yarn! I’m back among the living…boy, this moving thing-
Good to catch up and happy 2nd blog anniv…I tell ya’ it IS an adventure..I’m feeling it.
Sorry to hear about your Stepfather! Potty training? urg-it’s so easy to say it will come, but remember she won’t be in a pull up forever (I remember those days even thouh my baby is turning 11)…have you tried the doll thing?
