I’m quite tired with shoulders aching, etc so I’m just going to do a quickie update and then post in more detail tomorrow.
I have an FO. Sock #2 of the crooked cable socks is complete and awaiting its photo session.
I have cast on another pair of socks, this time doing a pair of Jaywalkers using the 2 socks on 2 circs method. Like the fact that the jaywalker pattern is quickly memorized. I’m using some sock yarn from knitpicks that I got from my previous secret pal. (I would’ve told you who that person was but they didn’t identify themselves. So… all I know is that the person who was my secret pal in SP6 sent me a cool "sock knitting" themed gift, I’m currently using the yarn and that the SP was from Canada. So if you’re reading this, SP6, let me know who you are.)
This weekend we went to Land of Retail to do a bunch of shopping and search for a couch. At the last minute we found the couch we want. It’s new to this store so they were having trouble ordering it. Its a sectional and we wanted the arrangement reversed from what it was on the floor model. The sales guy said to call him Monday and everything should be set up in their system for ordering. Well, its Monday and their computer still won’t allow them to place the order. I’ve searched and searched and searched for a sectional that I like, that comes in a color that I like, that comes in leather, that isn’t overstuffed and has clean lines, etc etc etc etc etc. Now I find the darned thing and I can’t order it! I found another one at Bassett but it was almost 2 grand more. I’d kinda like to not spend an additional 2 grand if I can just get Dania’s computer to accept our order!!!!!!!
And finally…. snow. We had snow today. It melted as it hit the ground but I don’t care. I got hit in the face with real, honest to goodness snowflakes. Woo HOOOOOOOOO!
I’ll post photos, etc tomorrow hopefully. Gotta rest. (I wore myself out doing an unpacking, organizing, marathon, etc).
Toodles.
WHOO HOO on the snow! Now if you just tell us you found AG her grits, you will have it made.
Good luck on the couch. Hope it works out quickly!
I hope you have better luck ordering that couch! It was really nice meeting you at Madrona.
yay for a snowfall – it’s so validating to us knitters!
Oh what a pain in the arse about the couch. If you are at all impatient like I am…You’d be on the phone with the CEO getting it fixed…Ha, no, I have no tact at all.
So glad you finally got to see some snow…but I have to tell ya, your “It’s sleet” story had me rolling!!!
