Wednesdays are for Works in Progress

It’s Wednesday so lets talk about works in progress!

First up:  Daybreak

The business has been really growing lately and getting Jack Henry a regular sitter has been a huge blessing.  He loveslovesloves Miss Melissa and JH has her daughter Madison wrapped around his chubby little finger.  So that is working and working great.

When I made that change, I did so because I thought the business was running me, I wasn’t running the business.  With this new growth, I’m feeling that way again.  I am wondering if it is just a case of re-adapting.  Yes, I’m wicked busy and booked up this week but last week…not so much.  I also need to except that I am not a “last minute” type of person and this is a “last minute” type of business.  Folks don’t call until they need ya right now.

To sum up… Daybreak is progressing, growing.  I think I need to work on relaxing even a bit more and “progress” in my life long quest to learn how to “go with the flow”.  Something I’ve never been good at.

Item 2: Tower Garden (s)

We had a mini-infestation of something but it appears that the Organicide took care of it speedy quick.  And, all is well because I noticed lots of mini-zucchini and mini-green beans on there this morning.  Love this thing.

Tower Garden: Week 6

The lettuce is ready to harvest and is so yummy.  I’ve been snagging strawberries periodically and I hope the zucchini and beans will be ready after not too much longer.

The tower garden also got a new friend last week.

Tower Two

I bought another tower.  He is plantless (as opposed to pantless) at this time.  He will have watermelon and canteloupe on the bottom tier.  The next tier will have jalapeno peppers and 2 determinate bush cucumbers.  The remainder will be filled with strawberry plants.  The little beige things the base are seedlings growing in rock wool.

How about some knitting?

Cloud Chaser: Back

I started working on Cloud Chaser and I’m really enjoying it.  Haven’t worked on a cable project in quite some time.  It is slow going but fun.  I also realized that this is the first project I’ve ever done where I have to keep more than one chart going at once.  Thought I had done another but looked back and nope!

Miss Babs Footie

I had some leftover Miss Babs Yummy Sock in the color Forest Afternoon (my favorite Miss Babs colorway) and decided that it was probably enough for a pair of footies.  I’m just winging it and fear I may have made it too shallow from cast on to beginning of the heel.  Time will tell.

Finally: Life

Life is good.  Hurried but good.  I don’t do well with a chronic case of “hurried” but hoping that I can get a handle on things or learn to just go with it.  Besides the “hurried” part, life is delightfully dull.  That’s just how I like things.  😉

Carpe Llama….and all that good stuff.

One response

  1. Hey! I’ve been reading the tower posts with much interest and I have to ask – do the fruits and such attract bugs? I am loving the idea (especially if you can grow your own melons!!), but if it’s going to make my backyard a bugfest, then I’m going to have to rethink it for sure.

Hope your bun is growing well!
