OK… after I post this I guarantee this is going to be another one of those writings that brings out the less than honorable members of society…. just sayin’.
Many of the knitting/spinning/dyeing folk have a special little silver scale. This scale is often affectionately known as the "drug dealer’s scale". Could someone please look at their scale and tell me what is actually called…. like what’s the brand name, model, etc?
I need one.
I’ve got me a wonderful postal scale that I love to pieces and he will still be a valued member of the family. But, I need to weigh stuff in grams. Small amounts of stuff. (Like fiber, and dye, hey…. I’ll weigh a chocolate bar… don’t care…. I want that scale!)
So could someone tell me what its really called. I did do a search on "drug dealers’s scale" since I thought I’d get all sorts of knitting blogs and I find the info I need. I did get lots of blogs but no one named the actual thing and I also got some… um….. interesting hits.
Lets just leave it at that, shall we?!
It’s name is the Xtrme Fuzion XTR-550 Professional Digital Mini Scale
I really like mine a lot.
I forgot to tell you I purchased mine on Ebay at Branch Avenue Store for $39.99. They mailed it out to me the same day I placed my order.

Yup, that’s the one. I emailed you the link, it wouldn’t fit in this box.
Here’s my post about it:

I love it!! It’s called a “digital postal scale”
I have a Salter digital kitchen scale. It weighs in grams, which is also very useful for bread baking. I think I got mine from King Arthur via the Bakers Catalog.
PS Thank you for the smooshy sock! It’s indeed very smooshy! And thank you for the sweet note and the tea, too! =)
