Yep, it’s Friday so I’m a wee bit late. Can we all live with that? I think I can.
Work In Progress: Auburn Camp Shirt
We’re up the arm holes, people.
Auburn Camp Shirt: Back
I made an executive decision. I was being all “OCD” about rotating three balls of yarn. That was a real pain and also meant it was hard to even take this project upstairs, much less take it to knitting group. So, I clipped a string and now we are rotating just 2 balls of yarn and the project is much more enjoyable.
Work in Progress: Carding the Fleece
Fleece? What fleece?
Work In Progress: Five in a Row
I decided several (SEVERAL) weeks ago to start using the preschool version of Five in a Row program with Anna Grace. She is really enjoying reading books together so I thought that FIAR could add a little more structure to our afternoons.
Well, on October 17, I ordered the thing. It takes 15 business days to ship. Just after Veterans Day I called and they said it had just shipped, should be here in a day or two. Early this week I called again. They think it is lost in the mail, they are mailing a replacement, just mark the other “return to sender” if it arrives. No problem, this happens to some of our orders sometimes so… it’s just life.
But now my second shipment is a bit AWOL as well. I’m either having terrible luck with the postal service or these folks are accidently mailing this to Oakland, CALIFORNIA and not Oakland, FLORIDA (a problem that sometimes occurs). I’m hoping it arrives tomorrow because I am dreading having to call these folks again.
Work in Progress: Exercise…i.e. Rowing
Here’s Anna Grace playing on the rower.
Does that count?
Work in Progress: Pennies for Bella
Isabella
Fund raising efforts are moving right along. Folks are filling penny jars all through Lake county, we have 2 airline tickets donated and maybe a third and the yarnies… THE YARNIES… y’all have donated nearly $2500.00 in just 2 days. I’m just amazed by that. Totally amazed. Thanks y’all so very much.
Work in Progress: Tulip Socks
Tulip Socks
I worked on the Tulip Socks a lot on my flights back and forth to the Grand Canyon. I haven’t worked on them much since I’ve been home (translation… they haven’t been touched at all). I enjoy the pattern but it requires concentration and I’m a bit short on that right now.
I have been using the cable without a cable needle trick. That works pretty good for those cables where I have to hold the stitch in front. For the ones requiring me to hold it in back…. that is a real struggle as I am not the most coordinated individual you would ever meet.
Work In Progress: Christmas
Christmas will be over in 39 days. Woo Hoo.
So… what are your “works in progress”?
nothing like your projects… wow! I’m going to add your blog to a prior post about Bella too.
Let me know if the book doesn’t come. I may have it laying around here somewhere!
I used FIAR with my oldest boys when they were little. I thought it was great. I couldn’t read the same book 5 days in a row so we only read it 2 or 3 times but still enjoyed the activities.
