First up…. more spinning.  I’ve been reading my new book and checking out the info about spinning lace weight yarn.

While I’m not quite there yet, I am making some nice and thin singles.  When plied they will be a little thicker than laceweight but still…. we’re making progress.

Absinthe Socks

I’ve completed the foot, finished the heels and now I’m heading up the leg.  This is my first pair of toe up socks and I’m a huge fan!   I’ve finished the first repeat of the leg chart….four more to go.

Reading progress…. I’m reading Second Nature by Michael Pollan and really enjoying it.  I was trying to listen to The Omnivore’s Dilemma on CD but I cannot tolerate that reader’s voice for one more second.  I think I’ll try to just read that book.

And finally…. some tea party action.

Anna Grace was digging around in an old cedar chest and found this little tea set that I had purchased when she was a baby.  I had kinda forgotten about it.  Well, she was all excited and wanted to have a tea party.  So the next day (Tuesday), we did just that.
