1. I figured out how to ignore a Ravelry thread that bugs me, irritates me, annoys me or I’m just plain done with reading.
2. I learned that I no longer have to look at strange and freaky avatars on Ravelry. No severed heads, no naked parts, nothing. I can look at a pretty picture of yarn instead.
3. I learned that #1 and #2 really made me happy. This can mean only one thing.
4. I have now learned that I have become a curmudgeon. Dang it!
How do you change the nasty avatars? I hate looking at those things!
No, it means you have better things to do with your time than be upset by threads and ugly avs.
Besides, you’re not old enough to be a curmudgeon.
ha. what thread though???
We must hang out in seriously different places on Rav….I have yet to see any severed heads, nekkid body parts, or actually anything objectionable besides the penis lace socks I guess (more hilarious than offensive tho!). Altho I will be more than thrilled to retire the P-Man’s current editorial/avatar when the Great Orange Debate of 08 finally ends!!
One thing that bugs me beyond reason (and there is no fix for it that I know of) is “disagree” happy idiots that disagree to everything, no matter if it not disagree-able! Like Hi, my name is Debi disagree (1287) Sheesh!!
How to you change the ravatars? I’m with Tree Climbing Mom, I hate looking at those things.
Ah, pull up a chair at the Curmudgeonly Bar & Grille. Glad to have ya!
Seriously, I’m right there with you. I’ve been using AdBlock to take out certain avatars for a while, but it’s so much nicer to replace them with yarn.
