In the national forrest leading up to the Chinook Pass entrance of Rainier National Park there is a campground and picnic area called The Dalles. In this park there is a short trail called the John Muir Trail (no relation to the big John Muir Trail) that winds through an old growth forrest and along the banks of the White River. We took this short hike on Saturday morning and really enjoyed ourselves. The trail is paved and completely flat so Anna Grace just went hog wild.

The White River. Snowfall was at a record levels up on Mount Rainier this year so the melt off has made the water level very high.
It was obvious that this tree had recently fallen across the path and that a section was just removed to "re-open" the walkway. Anna Grace was just dwarfed by the circumference of this tree.
Anna Grace explored every nook and cranny of the park.
