We had a great Thanksgiving. Lots of laughs. Dana decided to work yesterday (Friday) so that he could take Monday off (our 10 year anniversary). This left Anna Grace and I trying to entertain ourselves while avoiding any Black Friday crowds and associated traffic. This left us very few options for places to go and see. Therefore, we just headed a few blocks north to downtown Winter Garden and hung out around Lake Apopka.
Lake Apopka once had the claim to fame that it was the state’s most polluted lake. The pollution came from chemical run off originating from farms along its northern shores. Birds could not survive being in the waters. Years of efforts to clean up the lake are starting to show results. We actually saw lots of wildlife and water fowl. But no gators. (The lake is filled to the brim with gators).
We strolled around the lake for a bit and then came to the playground.
Toodles!
She is getting so big. And beautiful, of course! Happy Anniversary!!
