I actually started spinning some of the things from my drum carding class I took at Madrona. I figured if I am going to buy a drum carder maybe I ought to actually spin what I’ve already carded. Just a thought.
My spinning is still in the el stinko stages but I hope it will get better with time/practice. The fiber in the photo is 66% Merino and 33% Tussah Silk. The bat had purples and greens and then the white of the silk. But is spins into this steel gray/green color. I’m still constantly surprised over how different something looks once it is spun. I suppose time will take care of that as well.
