Saturday Sky Over Seattle Grace
This is the building used in Grey’s Anatomy for Seattle Grace Hospital. Non-Washingtonians may not know that Seattle Grace doesn’t actually exist. Locals don’t often realize that this is "Seattle Grace." It is better known to us as the home offices of the Seattle Mariners.
Saturday Sky Over EMP
This is the Experience Music Project (a.k.a. The EMP). It is a museum of music history and memorabilia. The collection was started by Paul Allen (the lesser known Microsoft gazillionaire) and is now a museum that is open to the public. I have been wanting to go but figured AG wouldn’t exactly be thrilled. But someone told Dana that there is all sorts of things for kids to do. That person lied. But that’s another story. It’s a nice museum. Loved the guitar sculpture and the Jimi Hendrix exhibit.
Dana took me here for my birthday. Now, remember folks that my husband used to work for the Disney corporation (a.k.a. "The Rat") and has movie credits on various and assundry Disney animations. Now, we spent a lot of time at that park, etc. And if we moved back we’d spend more time there. But I’m not one of these "Disney" people. Ya know, they buy all the "stuff", etc. I’m not going to travel the world seeking out every Disney-fied experience possible. I’m not going to start a Disney blog, a Disney bulletin board, etc. etc. etc.
Now, my husband knows this. He knows I liked having our little Disney pass, loved to see Roy O. Disney stand up to Eisner, etc but the Disney Mental State was not going to take over my mind and faculties. I even own some of the anti-Disney items that were being sold by the now-defunct SaveDisney.com (Like a t-shirt that says Disappointed in the Disney font).
When we left Florida we left Disney behind…. or so it seemed. Therefore, I couldn’t resist getting a smidge of a dig in at my husband who decided to take me to the EMP when there was a Disney exhibit going on. He claims he didn’t know. I, however, couldn’t resist pointing out that he didn’t take the family to the EMP when Bob Dylan’s papers, etc were on display. Nope. We had to move across the country and wait a whole additional year so that we could see the Disney exhibit at the EMP.
(Insert picture of Dana smacking his forehead. Insert other picture of me with maniacal grin!).
Heh Heh Heh
Saturday Sky Over Space Needle
I suppose y’all are tired of Space Needle pictures by now. I mainly wanted to show you our beautiful weather. HAH!!!! Nothing like rain, fog, clouds and temps in the 40’s to bring on those feelings that spring is in the air.
Yeah, right!
