SAFF…..Better Late Than Never

I’m comin’ up for air.  The final days of the sale at the shop were quite busy so I’m just getting back to posting about our trip to North Carolina.

We had a great time.  My spinning didn’t win any ribbons but I received good comments for each category.

How about some photos….

Full moon over Smoky Mountains.  I took this about a mile from my mother’s house as we arrived in Franklin on Thursday night.

SAFF was huge.  Totally huge.  We drove up to Asheville on Friday and turned in my spinning and toured the whole place.  This is a photo of the showroom floor and I only got a small portion of what was there.  I was floored as to how busy it was and how many vendors were there.  Shocked!!!

(Speaking of vendors…. I met Jana… the dyer of White Oak Studio TV Yarn .  It was nice to put a face with the yarn/blog. )

There were also beautiful fall colors all through Asheville and Franklin.  These are taken from my mother’s yard.

Looking down her driveway from her house.  Colors were everywhere.  They were more vibrant in person.

More sunset colors.

We went back up to SAFF on Sunday and picked up my spinning.  We then headed back to Florida on Monday.  Just prior to heading to Florida we got a little dose of cold temperatures…. it ws 35 degrees when we left North Carolina on Monday morning.

Anna Grace did a great job of traveling in the car.  The potty thing was no trouble at all.

Overall, we had a great time.  Can’t wait to go again next year.  Maybe next year I’ll actually get signed up for some classes and maybe meet up with some bloggers.
