Rogue and I Spent Some Quality Time Together

Today has not been great.  A particular toddler woke up with the thought that since I did not rescue her from the stroller during her "moment" last night that she was going to make me pay.  She made me pay at home.  She made me pay at Walgreens.  Then there was the post office…  I actually "paid" the most at the post office.  Then things seemed to improve.  I thought… hey… this is improving.

Well, she didn’t nap so hot and so I knew trouble was ahead.  I got her up, changed her diaper, she was cranky but livable.  But… suddenly she started crying non-stop, throwing little mini-tantrums.  I figured I’ll put her in the bathtub, hot bath might relax her, and she can enjoying playing with the water.  Well, when I did I discovered that she had a horrible diaper rash pop up just in that last hour and she was screaming because her bottom hurt so much.

I put her to bed early and that went well but she’s now woken up screaming a few times and one of them she couldn’t get herself settled so I went back in, got her changed and gave her some more milk.  Normally if I do this there is a battle when I tried to put her back to bed but I guess she was tired.  When she finished her milk she started pointing at her bed then reached for the crib rail.  Hey… I can take a hint!

Well, with her resting I decided that after a day like this I deserved some quality time with Rogue.  So I put the gift aside and finished the sleeve chart.  I enjoyed doing the double decreases but I don’t really like the way they look.  Overall I love Cascade 220 but I think it’s stitches may be too crisp for the Rogue cables, increases, etc.  I’m hoping it fluffs a bit in the warm bath prior to blocking.  Plus, after not seeing it for a bit I’ve noticed I’ve got some really wonky stitches going on with this thing.  But… wonky stitches may just be how I do things.

Here’s the photo of Rogue’s sleeve
