I gave up on the whole resolution thing a while ago. But, not long after I started knitting, I started making knitting related resolutions. They were mainly new skills I wanted to learn like learning cables, learning to spin, etc.
For 2009, I didn’t even attempt to make my usual knitting resolutions but I thought I’d get back in the swing of things for 2010.
So here they are….
1. Since, in a moment of delusional thinking, I signed up for 10 in 2010… where I agreed to knit 10 lace shawls in 2010…. I resolve to do my best to knit 10 shawls in 2010 (y’all stop laughing!!!!).
2. I want to knit one pattern designed by Ysolda Teague.
3. I want to knit 1 – 2 baby sweaters and such.
4. I want to try to do colorwork. I am thinking I’d also like to try to make my first pair of mittens so… I would like to knit a pair of colorwork mittens.
5. I resolve to keep working on my short row heels and figure out why I’m the only person on the planet who cannot seem to knit short row heels without at least a few holes. Must. Figure. This. Out.
So that’s it. That is my list of my knitting new years resolutions. Hope y’all have a fabulous new year and that our lives are healthy, blessed, content and filled with fiber.
Toodles, Y’all!!
You just need to add World Peace to that list and you’ll be all set! Happy New Year to you, AG, Dana & little boy.
If you need/want help with the short rows, please let me know. Good luck with the ten. I’ll be reading along and cheering you on.
Happy New Year!
I briefly thought about the 10 lace shawls thing, then drank a shot of whiskey and came to my senses. I might get a couple done, though!
I won a sock knitting contest because of my short row heel. I used the Sherman Heel and have never seen a better heel. Two only wraps at the very beginning and absolutely no holes. You will find it here: http://hipknitism.com/classes/basic_ribbed_socks/lesson4.shtml. Good luck with your resolutions and happy new year!
that’s an impressive list!! throw in a baby and that should just abt do you in!!! LOL
