1. I have restarted the Nancy Bush Friday Harbor sock. I have a print out of the errata (which… fyi… makes little or no sense. Basic translation… there’s a problem here so figure it out for yourself!). I wish many plagues on the person who wrote that chart out … many, many itchy plague type things.
2. Yesterday’s therapy and playgroup session was held at Lake Meridian park for a huge center field trip thing. In the rain. An hour and a half chasing my daughter hither and yon in the rain. Hurt my back putting her on the swings after we’d been there just 15 minutes. Had to put her on the swings many more times. Back is still complaining about this.
3. The cat bed is cruising along as is the Leaf Lace shawl. Nancy Bush sock is not cruising along as quickly as hoped. See chart curse listed in #1 above.
4. There are two types of mom’s in this world: those who like pop-up diaper wipes and those who like reach in diaper wipes. I have always been a reach in. Here in Washington reach ins are almost impossible to buy in bulk. I decided to try the other side’s way of life. Found a pop up system I actually grew to like. Went to the store to buy pop ups in bulk. They only had reach ins. I hate Murphy and his ^%$&*$# law.
5. I wore a wool coat today. It is June. I have a problem with this.
6. I have a verse of a song stuck in my head. It’s from the Winnie the Pooh movie.
And the rain, rain, rain
came down, down, down
in rushing, rising, rivlets.
Til the river crept out of it’s bed
and crept right into Piglets.
Three guesses as to why this particular song is the one I keep thinking of?
7. When you hurt your back you (in theory) get to have long rest/knitting periods. So, there’s a bright side to everything… even back injuries.
8. Anna Grace had an appointment today to be measured for a SPIO suit (it’s an OT thing). The person who was to do the measurements spent the first 30 minutes quizzing me as to why I thought she needed such a suit. I didn’t. Her therapists did. They work for you. Per chance you should ask them! Just a thought.
9. Anna Grace is saying elephant (lphant) and I’m mad (I’m Maaaa). Guess which one I hear more often?
10. Have I mentioned that its been raining?
11. I went to knitting tonight. My back may hurt but I don’t care…. I’m going to knitting!
It doesn’t rain here forever! When summer does come you will see a whole new look of beauty. Take it from me a transplant.

The Friday Harbor sock isn’t that complicated. You just sometimes need to use the first stitch of the following round to complete a round. It makes sense when you get there.
