1. Staying up until 1 a.m., 2 a.m., etc watching the Olympics is catching up with me. Me sleepy.
2. My Olympics project….an intarsia disaster challenge is thisclose to being tossed in the trash. I have learned the skill of intarsia but the tangles etc are making me crazy and, in all honesty, I don’t think the end result is going to be something I’m going to want to wear.
3. Tomorrow….last day of speech therapy. Woo Hoo.
4. Friday…. we’re havin’ a party to celebrate #3.
5. My fingers are a wee bit sore. I’ve been playing my guitar more and more in preparation for working with the children’s ministry at church. I’ll be helping the kids with their worship time. I’m really looking forward to it.
6. Almost time for Anna Grace to start her official pre-k. Parent orientation is tonight, AG and I go and meet her teacher on Friday and then school starts on Monday. I can’t believe she’ll be gone every morning. I can’t believe how much she’s grown up.
7. I have become addicted to this silly blog: Its Lovely, I’ll Take It. I got hooked on it when one of the BFF’s told me about it and now it is one of the first things I check.
8. We had a cold front come through here and it has been soooo nice. It is still in the high 80’s but less humidity. Woot!
9. Anna Grace is still in this phase of renaming her parents. Initially I was Shannon and Dana didn’t have a name. I was Shannon for a looong time (and sometimes I still am). Then I was Jasmine and he was Ken. Now? I’m Corrina and Dana is Jove. We don’t know where she gets this stuff from!!!!!! But… added bonus…. if you ask her how old we are she’ll say that I’m 24 and “Jove” is 74. My response? You’re absolutely right!
10. I think I hate my intarsia project. There. I said it. I think I hate it.
Psssst… it’s ok to hate your project. I’ve been there. 😀
Hey, I don’t know any other Corrina’s. You’ll be the first!
Never ever knit something you hate. Time to ditch the intarsia Corrina!
AG gives me the best chiuckles of my day
1. Since I get up at 4am for work every morning, I have been catching up on the Olympic highlights at that time – I would be dead if I stayed up past 11pm!
2. I have no patience for intarsia….lace is a different story – I LOVE lace!! I thought that is why God made varigated yarn, so we didn’t have to do intarsia anymore!!
3-4. YAY!!!
5. When I was a kid I took lessons on the accordian (being Polish and all), and it took a year before the tutor finally realized that I play by ear and didn’t know how to read a note!! I play pretty good, too!
8. We had a cold front come through last week – low temps in the 50’s – beautiful sleeping weather!
9. I never renamed my parents, although for many years as a kid I changed my own name to “Linda” – don’t ask why, I never figured that out. Then, in high school, I wanted to become a nun (being Catholic and all), and for a while I wanted my name to be Sister Beatrice!
Congrats to AG for graduating from speech therapy! I’m sure she will love Pre-K and you will love your mornings.
I didn’t know you played guitar! Very cool and fun.
I have an Olympics hangover this morning after staying up until 12:30 to see the end of the womens’ gymnastics. I can’t wait for naptime!
When my son was asked by his kindergarten teacher how old I am (for a mother’s day project), he said 24. Bless them, huh?
life is too short to hate your knitting. toss it.
I hear you on the olympics. I’ve been staying up late every night to watch them too. And they just get later and later…….
