Nobody Say a Word

We’re coming home today but I’m not checking email, I’m not reading blogs, nothing.

Why?

First, I don’t want a soul to tell me what happened on Gray’s Anatomy on Thursday.  It’s on the TiVO, nobody breathe a word.

Second, I want not the slightest hint of what may or may not have happened in Florida today.  I don’t want to know who shed who’s blood at the gamegamegame.  It’s on the TiVO.  We’re gonna watch it as if it was happening right this moment.  KOMO-7 claims they are airing that game at 9 a.m. this morning and we’ve got the TiVO prepared.  Nobody breathe a word.

I know I have very little hope.  I know we will likely lose our shirts and get beaten like a bunch of red-headed step children.  Knowing the Jeffy-boy won’t be back will make that a smidge easier to swallow.  But beatin’ the trash out of the Gators would make the world a better place.

So… shhhhhhh!  I’ll let ya know when I’ve got the TiVO unloaded.

  1. I haven’t got a clue about either, so is it ok if I comment :)

I just read in a book (Stumbling on Happiness — an interesting but uneven read) that folks who intend to watch sports events time delayed often do not end up doing so. Why? Because it spoils their “magical thinking” that yelling at the coach through the set will affect the game! Dunno how much I buy that one. (so, please tell us if you yell at the coach? from reading your archives I suspect you will. :) )

hope you enjoy your tv this afternoon. I understand your nervousness. we are only 3/4 the way through season two of Lost, and have a hard time making sure we don’t hear anything about season three.

  2. I’m watching the game right now!….loose lips sink ships. My husband and I were commenting how San Diego just doesn’t get into ‘it’…you know no car window flags!!! They just don’t ‘get it’ do they?!!! hahahaha…

  3. You evil woman speaking blasphemy against the Gators! tsk tsk tsk.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving hun. Sorry ya had to mourn the loss of your team losing!!!!

  4. I can safely comment too because I don’t know from nothin’ about either one. In fact, my husband and I are trying very hard not to pay any attention to what’s going on with Grey’s this season. We’ve just finished watching season 2 on DVD and don’t want to pick up season 3 in the middle. So, we’re trying to avoid everything until the reruns start! Easier said than done.
