I am going as fast as I can on the gift sleeves but they just don’t seem to end. And, believe it or not, if I actually have enough yarn to knit sleeve #2 it will be a miracle. I thought I ordered more than enough to finish but I may be wrong. Not going to worry about this today. I’ll schedule some time to fret about it tomorrow.
Tonight AG and I went with Hammy, Hampy, Lisa and all the kiddos up to the church where Lisa’s husband is a pastor and we heard Return 2 Zero perform a Christmas concert. There was a potluck before hand (where AG refused to eat, acted like a maniac… you get the picture) and then the concert. Initially she was fascinated. So I thought (go ahead… start laughing) that she would make it through the whole performance. Nope. She wiggled. She squealed. Lisa took her out for a bit to give me a break. Then I took her. Then Hampy took her and Jason (Lori’s son) out in the hallway because they were all being wild. All in all, she had a blast but I could sleep for two days straight and still not recover.
I really enjoyed hearing Return 2 Zero , what I actually got to hear. I’m glad I went, it did get us out of the house for a bit. The only bad thing is that for some reason hearing the Christmas songs got me thinking about my circumstances etc. which is always a bad idea. My motto through all of this unrest, and especially through this holiday season, is "Don’t Think". So, it was a bit of a struggle for a while but, right on cue, AG started acting up and I no longer had the luxury of a pity party. I guess the toddler uprising did serve a purpose after all.
