After I stated in my last post that I would have progress photos I almost bailed… why? Because one of my knitting bags was out in the car and I was too lazy to go get it. Yep… that’s me. Lazy.
But, I decided to be a good blogger, keep my word and here we go.
First…. sock is growing (boring photo but it’s longer, I pinky swear)
Next up is the Cutaway cardigan which has been cast on and has grown a smidge. In this light tonight the color does appear to be chocolate brown. I guess it’s a lighting thing. So far, I’m enjoying the Jo Sharp DK wool. Knits nice. It’s not quite as soft as I had hoped so I’ll be a wee bit leary about itchiness but we shall see.
Next is a little surprise that I got this week. AG and I walked to the post office yesterday and lo and behold… a gift. Woo Hoo. Debi sent me the Big Book of Knitting by Katharina Buss and a skein of Mountain Colors in the Wilderness colorway. She had recently posted a photo of some socks she made and I was just so taken with the colors. In addition, Debi sent me the kindest note and just warmed my heart. I was so surprised and blessed. Thank you, Debi, thank you so very much. I have been reading and gleaning from each page of this book and just love it. I wish the colors in the yarn turned out better in my photo. I’ll need to try tomorrow when I’ve got better light.
Here’s a photo
Happy Dance.
