I finished up the pair of socks I’ve been working on. They are just basic stockinette.
The yarn is Fortissima Colori/Socka Color (Color #8). I knit them using size 2 dpn’s.
I am working on tier 3 of the Forest Path Stole. I hope to post pictures tomorrow.

Hard day today at Chez Wannabe. Lots of time on the phone with my mother. Mom had a hard day today and was just beside herself. She has realized that my stepfather is dying. He will not recover. He will never come home. To top it off, he didn’t even know who she was today.
I will likely be heading to North Carolina here in the next week or so. Not sure of the arrangements. I have talked to my mother about stopping the dialysis. She’s not quite there yet but I imagine she will be within the next week or two. I think I may be going back and forth a few times in the next month or so.

even though the socks are plain, they are beautiful. my heart goes out to you with your mom, what a difficult process to go through.

So sorry to hear about your stepfather and mom. It’s very hard to watch someone you love slipping away, harder when you have to make the decision to let them go. I’ll be thinking of you all.

I’m all about plain stockinette socks these days…easy to knit, no thinking involved. They’re super-fast. And they let the yarn just do it’s thing.
I like yours with the dark yarn, yet just a bit of color change to them.
