Lots of knitting going on around here.  I did finish the back of the cardi but haven’t cast on the either of the fronts…. nor did I take a photo. Its the backside of a cardi in dark chocolate brown and knit in stockinette.  Sounds like a boring photo to me.  OK…. truth is I forgot to take a photo while taking pictures of everything else and I’m too lazy to go back and do it. 

Moving on……

I sewed up the toe on the crooked cable sock.  I anticipate I’ll cast on sock 2 in the next 24 hours using the 2 circ method.  Until a particular toddler greatly matures I will be boycotting socks on dpns for a bit.  She has undone, unwound, unthis-ed and unthat in recent weeks so, all done with the dpn’s for a bit.

Next up… Garter Bar Socks.  These are being done by the magic loop method. Although I think I prefer the basic 2 socks on 2 circs I can tell you I’m living in happy land over the concept of knitting both socks at once.  I’m so giddy over this that I may need to be medicated.  This totally rocks.  I finished the legs on these guys and now I’m ready to start the heel flaps.

And finally…. a finished object (FO).  Earlier this week I did the final weaving in of ends and adding tassels to the Manos shawl.  I love this thing.  I have never worn shawls/wraps, etc.  Why?  1. I’m clumsy… these sorts of garments may be asking for trouble and 2. I live in Florida.  But… I love this thing.  Yes I run the serious risk of setting myself or others on fire but who cares.  I think I’m  going to get a lot of use out of this especially living in a climate that offers choices other than hot, hotter, and  cold down to the bones.
