Kitten

Today I was thinking that I need to get a kitten.  Dana doesn’t agree.  You see, we have four cats.  But…. all four are living in Washington and I’m feeling a bit cat-deprived.  Today the catalogue for Drs. Foster and Smith came and there were these cute kittens on the front and suddenly I was delusional.  Wouldn’t it be great to get a kitten…. wouldn’t AG just love to have a cat around again…. it would be great for her development… yeah… that’s it.  Dana, on the other hand, doesn’t agree.  He thinks he’ll just bring back a cat with him.  But he can’t bring back one on this trip and he won’t be back for a while.  I think Dana thinks the "let’s get a cat" idea will pass.  Or at least he’s hopin’ it will.

Dana may not remember how we acquired Lily.  (or…maybe he does…) Lily was living out on the West Orange Trail and I was doing clinicals at a pediatrics office right next to the trail.  Lily kept trying to run in the door.  One of the employees took her home but couldn’t keep her.  Somehow I ended up taking Lily home.  Dana didn’t know this had occurred.  I figured he should be told prior to getting home from work so I left him a voice mail to call me before he left for home.  The man must’ve had a vision or something because he calls home and what’s the first thing he says to me?  "We’ve got another cat, don’t we?".

Smart man.
