Today. June 29th. Guess what opened up??!!!?? The Mowich Lake entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. Worth the wait? You bet!
Unnamed waterfall beside the road. This is about 1 mile from Mowich Lake.
Mowich Lake. Note the snow on the ground. This was taken from the south side of the lake. If you go to the north side of the lake you are supposed to have this great view of Mt. Rainier with its reflection in the lake. It was too late to hike over there tonight. I’m looking forward to driving up there and hiking the Wonderland Trail over to Eunice Lake. En route we should have that great view of Mowich Lake.
Dana and AG by the N. Mowich River (and beside some falls I don’t know the name of). This is on the Spray Park trail.
Sky over Mowich Lake campground
Sunset from 3500 feet.
Sun going down on Mt. Rainier.
This weekend we’re going to take Dana folks for a tacky tourist adventure in Seattle. We’re going to ride the ducks. Sunday is another Mt. Rainier day. We’re going to Paradise, Washington.
