Anna Grace was asking what exactly was on our agenda for the day. I started trying to sell the idea of going to the “park with no swings” (’cause y’all know how much I hate pushing swings). Anna Grace wasn’t thrilled but I spun a tale about all the kids she could meet, how fun it would be, etc and eventually she signed on
All along I had an evil little plan. Just because the park has no swings doesn’t mean it can’t have a spinning wheel.
Spinning at the Park
I packed up the spinning wheel, the roving I’d been working on, even the Lazy Kate, the whole shebang, and hauled it all to the park. I sat and enjoyed lots of spinning time while AG had a ball playing with some little boy she met.
There was just one problem with my little plan. It is very humid here today, more than usual, and our expected heat index is between 105 and 110 degrees. In other words, it was stinkin’ hot at the park with no swings.
What a great plan! Love the spinning
73 and breezy in Seattle today. Just sayin’…
You were out spinning wool OUTSIDE today?!?! Great idea, wrong month! LOL
I hate heat and humidity, and we have had plenty of it. That is some lovely roving on that wheel.
