This is the gauge swatch (knitted on size 5’s) for the Cutaway Cardigan from ChicKnits .  I’m using Jo Sharp DK wool in the color beetle which, to me, looked like a dark chocolate brown when I saw it online.  However, it is so dark that I actually had to set it on something black to determine that it really was brown and not black.  I thought back and forth about whether too use it anyway since it was darker than I expected.  Once I knit up the swatch, however, I was convinced.  I  like the color just fine.
