It may appear I’m starting a bit early. Not actually. Giving thanks for the blessings in my life is something I try to do daily. Often spending a moment listing some of the things that I’m thankful for helps to get my focus off of the bad/annoying/irritating, etc.
Some of the things I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving season are…..
1. For Anna Grace, the joy of my life.
2. For Dana. He’s a goof but he’s my goof.
3. For speech, Anna Grace speech. As in "gwingle gwingle weedle stah" (twinkle twinkle little star).
4. For knitting, providing a moment of calm and the often needed sense of accomplishment.
5. For bloggin, a community and my own knitting "circle".
6. For insurance and employment, Dana’s job provides for us very nicely and our insurance pays for a lot more therapy than most plans do.
7. For llamas and alpacas, they make me smile each day I drive by their pasture.
8. For the cross, providing me with a path to having a relationship with God.
9. For Lily and Molly and Chloe, their friendship and affection brings us great happiness and they help to keep me warm by sitting on my feet.
10. For friends: old friendships that stand the test of time and new friendships that give us joy along the journey.
Sweetie, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I am the mother of four now adult children.
Even though I did not know until my last child (and we don’t know if he is like this because he was the last or if he is the last because he is like this) sang that song for me. Now we all know it is “Tinkle tinkle very far.”
Please tell Anna Grace.
Seriously, thanks for sharing your gratitudes with us. It is so heart lifting to see that you embrace all answers to prayer, even those most unlikely.
Jan, who very much wants snow for Thanksgiving but is afraid to pray because most of the time the answer is even more strange than the request…
What a lovely post kris! Eris looks amazing too!!
I loved your list.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
