Counting to Three and Counting to Five

Apparently this is a little too advanced for me.

You count to three.

You count to five.

5 X 3 ribbing.

I cast on for piece 2 last night and hoped I would cruise along… and I would’ve if I could count consistently to three and to five.

I kept messing up the ribbing, on the first row… not discovered until the second row… and kept frogging the whole thing.  I do this everytime.   I cast on, I frog, I cast on, I frog.  I think I must start each new portion of a piece five times before I actually get going on it.

This is even more frustrating since "casting on" is 153 stitches… over and over and over again.  Y’all know how I love casting on….HAH!

Well, I’ve now completed an inch of 5 x 3 ribbing…. 2.5 hours for 1 inch of knitting.  Yeah, that was productive.  I switched over my needle to the next size and went to bed.  My size 4 circ is still in the shoulders of Piece #1 so I have size 4 straights that I’m using in the meantime.  But, they are a bit small for 153 stitches plus they are bamboo… but cheap bamboo…. and going from an Addi Turbo to them is not fun.  Where as the stitches slide off the Addi, now they hold on for dear life with these things.  I’ll get the back’s shoulders  done and then get piece #2 onto the Addi.

Well, the toddler is awake, must go.

Happy Knitting
