I enjoyed most of the Rose Bowl last night.  The teams truly seemed to be evenly matched.  Second quarter was much more interesting, more scoring, more turnovers, etc. 

I really didn’t have a preference between these two teams.  USC winning would’ve been cool since it would be a record breaker. Texas winning would’ve been nice since nobody seems to be giving them any credit.  But… midway through I thought I’d only want Texas to win if they won by more than 6 to 9 points.  Why?  Because early in the game Texas got a touchdown that clearly wasn’t legal. But… USC didn’t ask for a review in time.  Then Texas missed the extra point.  So… 6 of those points shouldn’t have been on the scoreboard.

I finally went and watched the game in bed and saw Texas score without about a minute left.  Somewhere in there I dozed off and now I find out I missed some of the best plays of the game.  Texas wins… but not by more than 6 points.  So, this game will be debated for quite some time.  That’s why I wanted Texas to win by a bigger margin so that folks wouldn’t be talkin’ down there win for years to come.  They could still say… even without those 6 points we were *however many* points ahead.

Lots of knitting on the sleeve last night. I thought I’d finish but my hands started hurting so I had to bail.  I don’t have a lot of work left on it.  Photos some other time.  It’s 5 x 3 ribbing… not exactly a thriller of a picture!
