We didn’t go over the portion of Idaho that we already covered but we dipped down into southern Idaho to see some great waterfalls en route to Jackson, WY.
Upper Mesa Falls:
The waterfall is on Henry’s Fork of the Snake River. It is 200 feet wide and 114 feet high.
Lower Mesa Falls:
Also on Henry’s Fork.
Grand Teton National Park:
View of the Grand Tetons from the Wyoming/Idaho state line.
Grand Tetons from the other side.
Lake Jackson (or was it Jackson Lake?). We stopped here for a bit and enjoyed the lake and the side view of the Grand Tetons. This was also the site of our next little set of accidents. The lake has a steep bank with loose gravel. First AG plotzed on her rump and then I did. I took a bit more of a thud than she did but neither of us were hurt. The camera got a scratch or two but no worries.
Anna Grace happily throwing rocks.
So…where am I as I am writing this? Florence, Kentucky. We drove through Chicago today. Can you say "bad idea"? It took us 3 hours to just get across Chicago. I *may* have said some unladylike things…maybe.
We hope to be in North Carolina by tomorrow night.
Next Post: Yellowstone
