The move has gone well and we’re unpacking boxes and cleaning our old place. Things are slowly but surely coming along. With all of this my brain is a little scattered and there has been zero knitting. ZERO.
But there is one thing to share….
This whole area of Florida has been consumed by the NBA finals. People who never cared a bit before about basketball, the Orlando Magic, etc are suddenly big fans. I am a football fan, I hate basketball and (I know this will be unpopular) when the Magic used to threaten to leave town if they didn’t get more money and a bigger arena….I offered to help them pack. I was all in favor of lettin’ them go to wherever and not giving them a dime.
So…now they’ve made it to the NBA finals and my opinion hasn’t changed. Don’t care, not interested. With one exception. There’s a little girl…a little girl on the autism spectrum….who is singing the Star Spangled Banner at each of the home games and has been since the playoffs. So, I’m not too interested in the Magic. But…. I’m pretty thrilled at what this little girl has accomplished.
So… let whatever happens with the Magic happen. But where this little girl is concerned…. Go Gina, Go!!!!!
I’m with you…basketball is not my favorite! But…I will have to admit that I’m rooting for the Lakers! Once a California girl…always a California girl!!
Glad your move went ok…I hate moving! We’ve moved 13 times in 28 years of marriage!
