Alpacas and Ocean Waves

Did you know that today is National Alpaca Farm Day?  No… I’m not kidding.  Here’s more info.   Well, I couldn’t let an event like that pass by.  I did a little research and realized that Florida has alpaca farms too.  One, Green Ginger Alpacas, was up in Eustis which isn’t that far away.  (We got a kick out of their slogan.  "If you’re lucky enough to raise alpacas, you’re lucky enough.)

So…. we went for a visit and had a great time.

These alpacas are new moms that are in the same pasture with their Cria (baby).

Anna Grace enjoys lunch as alpacas look on.

We spent an hour or 2 at the farm, I met some local spinners and we learned a little bit about how alpaca are raised in this hot climate.  Then on to the next portion of our adventure…. we drove an hour east to Dana’s parent’s house.  From there we drove a bit more east and we went to spend some time at New Smyrna Beach.  We didn’t have the best of weather but AG didn’t seem too concerned.

She had a great time playing in the waves and digging in the sand.  I enjoyed the scenery and watching all the birds.  Although the weather was bad, I’m glad we made the trip.

Coming up…. an FO (finished object).  I’m on the last repeat and I am bound and determined to finish this TODAY.  Stay tuned.
