the socks…. not the back.
I sat in bed last night fiddlin’ with the Friday Harbor socks and finished section one of the cuff via a little creativity on my part. When it came time to start section 2 of the cuff all circuits had been blown and I decided to just skip that part make a design adjustment and proceeded on to the last row of the cuff where you K2tog on needle 1. So now I’m cruising along on the actual leg portion and liking the sock (and its chart) quite well.
Not only was I having to tinker around due to the chart issue but I’m also knitting them 2 socks on 2 circs. Here’s a progress shot.
The colors came out a bit dark but I’m using Lorna’s Laces in the colorway River. This is my first Lorna’s Laces experience and I’m gettin’ a little happy running my fingers along this yarn. Yummy.
Other progress:
No change in Eris since Sunday’s photo.
The Kitty Pi is about 1/2 done
The Leaf Lace Shawl is growing daily and is a bit addictive. There are a few errors design changes that I’ve made but not too many. Of note, the current shawl is not the one from the photo introducing the team. That version was punished for being uncooperative and was banished to the frog pond. The current Leaf Lace Shawl is the New and Improved version.
On the agenda tonight??? Spinning and watching the season finale of Lost. Yep… that’s how behind things are in this household. I still don’t know what happened on Lost nearly a month ago. Such is life.
I’ve started those DAMN socks so many times. I think the eratta has eratta!
Hope you back feels better soon.
How is AG doing? Ear infection gone?
I never found the errata for those socks. I just made up my own to straighten out the chart. (Didn’t I email you about that? Did my instructions manage to also not make sense?) But, unique design features are a good thing, right?
I have found several things with her patterns to be annoying…especially that the sizes are many times way too small. Arg.
