I haven’t posted in a bit. Life (okay, more like my brain) is disorganized and I can’t seem to get it together.
Last Thursday was Anna Grace’s 2nd birthday. It is simultaneously hard to believe that she’s two and hard to imagine what life was like before she came. Seems like she’s always been here. So, what do you do to celebrate a toddler birthday when you don’t know a soul, etc?
You do toddler things. We played outside. We went to the park. We played in the snow (yep… we had snow that day). We went to Red Robin because she’s always fascinated by the wait staff singing Happy Birthday. We played. We ate like pigs. We hugged, and kissed, and tickled and giggled.
Saturday we went to Woodland Park Zoo . I had thought that since AG liked seeing the alpaca so much that she’d love a trip to the zoo. Not so much. She was ok with it in general but seeing other kids was much more fun than looking at a giraffe or elephant or donkey or pig. It was seeing other kids that actually got her a bit upset. She wanted to play and didn’t understand why they would walk off to the next exhibit, etc. The kid needs friends.
Dana and the neighbor finished the swing set and AG loves it. Just another toddler thing. She needs help getting to the top of the slide but she’s ready to go at a moments notice.
Happy Happy Birthday AG!!!
