OK… the brain waves aren’t up to par today so…. my only hope of giving you a coherent post is to return to our handy dandy list format.
So….what’s been happening at Casa de Cheapo?
1. I got a cold, gave Anna Grace the cold and actually bragged that for having a cold I didn’t feel all that bad.
2. Later that same day I began to feel as if I had been hit by a MAC truck.
3. Next time I’ll keep my mouth shut. AG, by the way, never seemed to be bothered by the cold and now she’s perfectly fine.
4. Much football was watched on Saturday. Much football.
4a: (that’s right people…I’m taking the list format into "outline" format….) Watching FSU win an actual football game….Lovely.
4b: Watching Udub come this close to beating USC…. fantastic. If Udub had actually won that would have been fantabulously fantastic.
but the best thing of all, the greatest moment…..
4c: Seeing the Gators get beat by Auburn? Priceless! Beautifully, fantastically, tears in my eyes, jump up and down, ain’t life grand….PRICELESS! Absolutely priceless.
5. The Gators play LSU this weekend and I just have 2 words to say about that. Go Tigers!
6. I have actual knitting content (I know. You’re shocked!). Here’s a non-blocked Sun Ray Shawl.
Sorry about the flash but you know…
7. Doing a picot edge bind off sounded like fun. Doing a picot edge bind off over 300 some odd stitches…. not so much.
8. Did I mention that I saw the Gators LOSE this weekend?
9. We got some great stuff in the shop…. Oceanwind Knits and White Oak Studio. Check out the new yarn that’s in the store.
10. Hey Florida people… can I just say thanks for fixing the East/West while I was gone. There’s no traffic. There’s actually 5 lanes. And those cool new "You don’t have to stop if you have an E-Pass" toll booths…. oh my!
11. I seem to have found a replacement for my ill fated Studio 60. If you didn’t watch Pushing Daisies then you need to start right this minute. Don’t let another one of "my shows" get canceled. START WATCHING! NOW!
12. Can ya tell I was raised as an only child? Sure I have 3 half sisters and 1 stepsister but I was raised by my lonesome. Sometimes it shows.
13. I started making a sock. Its a Jaywalker without the ribbing.
14. I started to frog it. Changed my mind.
15. I miss my Starbucks knitting nights. It would be tonight. Hi Guys!
16. I need to block my Sun Ray Shawl…. but guess where my blocking wires are? I think I may head over to Ace Hardware and see if I can try Lorette’s welding wires trick.
17. It’s raining 40 days and 40 nights in Washington. We received the same amount of rain here in Florida. All in 2 days. I think its a conspiracy.
18. Due to all the rain…. the duck pond is cresting. Wonder what the duck police will do about that.
19. I think I am going to try to knit another lace shawl. Not sure.
20. Private Practice: I’m not impressed.
Okay, that’s it, that’s all. Must go.
Oh…who’s going to SAFF.
Hi Kris, We missed you at SBUX last night. Quite a group. Marsha’s back from New Zealand with all sorts of stories…and yarn! I have been meaning to mention that I can’t believe how tall A.G. has gotten. And really, the duck police should find a new hobby. Take care, Dena
GO GATORS!!!
And I have a cold too
I liked Pushing Daisies too but am also meh on Private Practices…Love the sock, fleece artist?
I didn’t make it to SB for knitting last week OR this week. I may as well have moved to Florida. Hopefully next week. The shawl looks great!
