As you can see, I kinda sorta have email access. I’m going to get a few posts going as fast as I can before the "high speed internet" returns to prehistoric slowness.
We said our good byes (which was so hard) and left Enumclaw mid-morning on Thursday. We quickly encountered what has become the "theme" for the trip:
1. Roadwork
2. Single lane-ing of interstates
3. Did I mention roadwork?
So here’s the photo run down of day 1.
1. We stopped at Olmstead state park for lunch. AG had the first of our family accidents while eating lunch. She flipped backwards off the picnic table and landed on the top of her head. She wasn’t pleased.
2, We crossed the Columbia River.
3. Saw the Wildhorse Memorial
(Sorry that photo is a bit big… I have no photo editing software with me. Or if I do…. I don’t know where it is and how to use it).
4. We stopped at Riverfront Park in Spokane. Anna Grace had a great time. This is the area where the kiddie rides are.
The clock tower.
The big wagon sculpture (which is actually a slide for kids).
The fountain.
Spokane Falls as seen from the gondola.
Anna Grace loved the fountain.
5. We crossed into Idaho and rested for the night.
So how did Anna Grace do? So far, so good.
Wow, you make traveling across the country look so fun! Poor Anna’s head!
