Saturday we finished up with the Washington side of the gorge.  As you can see we’ve entered the desert type atmostphere.

This photo was taken in the general direction of Mt. Hood but the mountain wasn’t out much while we were visiting.  Mt. Hood normally looks down on the Columbia River.

Stonehenge Memorial:

It was kinda fitting that we visited this war memorial on Memorial Day weekend.  A local benefactor had built this memorial to honor local war dead. 

From this point we crossed the Columbia and began traveling on the Oregon side of the river.
