Broadening Our Horizons

I’ve been participating in Nablopomo which is basically agreeing to post every day during the month of November.  Well I got a note from Kim leading me to a site encouraging participants to also use this month to read some new blogs.  So after exploring Kim’s blog I also checked out some of the other knitting blogs.

Here’s a small sampling of blogs that maybe you haven’t discovered yet…..

The Knitted Brow
written by a knitter in Honolulu Hawaii

Knitpony
written by a sewing/knitting/crafting sort from Las Vegas

and finally…..

The Knit Farm
all the way from the U.K.

So visit the these knitters and maybe check out some others.  They’re all listed on the Nablopomo  site.

I’ve thought about posting about the elections; the good, the bad and the downright awful.  But I’ve always kept my politics to myself and thought it would be best to continue in that mode.  However, I couldn’t resist just one thing….

Britney and K-Fed gettin’ divorced

AND

Rumsfeld steps down….

Is this gossip hound heaven or what??????

The times they are a changin’!

  1. I often pose a philosophical question at work and today my question was, “Which do you think the average American finds more interesting – that we have a new Secretary of State (quick, what’s his name?), or that Kevin and Brit are divorcing.” A common response was, “We have a new Secretary of State?”

  2. It really is amazing what we know about celebs, isn’t it? I find that politics rather annoy me, but often, so do the rich and famous (though I do have my favorites). I really hate it when the two clash, such as awards shows were some actor/singer/whatever, uses that medium to put across their political views. I’m not sure why that annoys me so, but it does. Maybe because I think it is taking advantage of their position.
