Living at Warp Speed

Things have been a bit hectic around this place.  It seems we’ve been going full steam ahead since the time of our  vacation.  In the midst of all the traveling and such we decided to re-do the hall bathroom.  We didn’t do a major job, just cosmetic stuff but it’s taken a bit of time.

While that has been going on Dana has been traveling for work and I’ve been trying to get the house together for company.  The in-laws arrive tomorrow night and will be staying for a week.  That means that all the house work that I "let go" of while we were in the midst of chaos had to be addressed.  I decided I could get all the clutter and such taken care of or I could actually clean. I chose clutter.  Then I hired someone to come in and clean.

Now my house is spotless.  I used to have a lady in Florida that I would hire to come and  clean when life got overwhelming.  It’s nice to know that I can now do the same here in Washington should the need arise.  This lady was thorough…. embarrassingly thorough.  She moves the furniture to sweep.  I didn’t know that much cat hair could fit beneath a dresser!  Whatever… my house currently sparkles and that’s all that matters.

I forgot to post a Saturday Sky picture.  So what.  I’ll do a better job next week.  Saturday I spent the day at a Wright’s Law conference learning how to advocate for Anna Grace.  Informative but (at times) depressing.  Saturday evening was spent having much more fun.

Saturday night we went to Lakewood and had dinner with Lorette and her husband.  They invited us and some other friends over and we had a great time.  Y’all know from reading her blog that Lorette is a very talented knitter but I’ve learned a secret.  Lorette is also an amazing cook.  We had such a wonderful evening.

Anna Grace also had a lot of fun at Lorette’s.  She spent the evening chasing Riley the dog, chatting with anyone who would listen and playing dress up….

Poor, Lorette. Those are her glasses (not prescription glasses but none the less…) and I’m not sure they will ever be the same.

Lorette has tagged me for a ten songs meme.  This has me thinking.  Ten songs.  Just ten?  This will take some thought.
