I’ve finished up the body of Eris (if you don’t count stitching the hems together).
It’s now time to steer this ship towards Sleeve Island.
I have to brag…. my brilliant child said a five word sentence today. That’s a big deal for any toddler but for a toddler with apraxia… this is huge.
We went for a walk downtown and when we were coming out of the chamber of commerce there was this dog standing there. The dog followed us home. So I started playing with him a bit and he relaxed enough so I could check his tag. Turns out he has a microchip so I called the company and they contacted the owner.
While waiting to hear back from the owner (which took several hours……no good deed goes unpunished) I was trying to entertain the dog to keep him from disappearing. I tossed a ball to him for a bit while AG giggled and said "hi dog" over and over. Well, Charlie (his name according the microchip people) got tired of playing and just lay down in the grass. He picked the ball up and set it aside and just looked at us. Anna Grace looked at me and then said "hi dog no ball go". In other words…. dog won’t play with the ball anymore. I was stunned. She’s never strung together a set of words like that (that I recognized) nor has she ever strung concepts together like that.
Maybe this means we need to get a dog?
That’s a great sentence!! It’s so amazing when they start putting those things together and we know what they’re saying 😉
And yes, maybe you should get a dog! LOL
What a great sentence – says it all! Who was it that said, “There’s nothing as good for the inside of a child as the outside of a dog.”?
Way to go AG… that was GREAT!
What a great sentence!
(as the crowd roars)
I have an Australian Shepard. I don’t know what I’d do without her. She is my constant companion. They kind of grow on you.

Well you can check out how she gets along with our pure bred brown dog Saturday night. Dogs are good for kids, and vice versa. And they have some advantages, like no college expenses in the future. And you can leave them home alone, at least for short periods of time.
