A day late and a dollar short….
My Saturday Sky picture, taken in the late afternoon…
On to the knitting! I wound the Cascade I bought for the felted purse and the Farmhouse STR.
I have already cast on the purse and progressed through the increases. It is an easy pattern but in a good way. It’s good t.v. or car knitting. I like the simplicity of that. The STR is destined to become a pair of stockinette stitch socks. I’m looking forward to just knitting socks. No fancy patterns or stitches, just nice glorious socks.
Lastly, I realized that I left y’all hanging when it came to vacation photos. When we left off, we were atop Washington Pass. Progessing eastward was one of the coolest sites I’d seen in a long time. Diablo Lake is bright turquoise. The color is the result of glacial silt in the water. The Skagit river also has this color at times. The lake is quite large and can been seen from quite a distance. Words can’t describe how pretty this area is. Amazing!
More vacation pictures in the coming week.
That yarn sure is pretty, but not as gorgeous as that other picture you have posted. what a wonderful trip that must have been. Living in Florida myself, I rarely get away to areas of the country where the land is not flat.
I love to knit and felt purses with Cascade. I have made some of the tackiest and prettiest purses with that yarn.
Good luck!
