I met up with Lorette and Dorothy for a day of yarn shops and Yarn Harlot. We headed up to Weaving Works and Acorn Street Shop for our own mini yarn crawl. I made purchases at both but right now I’m a bit too lazy to take photos.
Then the highlight of the trip, we saw Stephanie speak at Third Place Books and we stood in line to meet her. We each had our book signed and Lorette even got her picture taken holding "the sock". Here’s some photos.
Lorette (on left), me and Dorothy. (Hmmmm…. just noticed that shirt makes me look a bit preggers. Must banish shirt.)
Stephanie takes Lorette’s photo with "the sock".
All of us meeting Stephanie.
Another cool thing happened at the bookstore. I was approached by someone who recognized me and reads the blog. That’s never happened to me before. But, alas, I was a bonehead and didn’t write down their name. So… thanks for introducing yourself. Send me an email!
Well, must go. I’ll post more vacation photos, shawl updates (HA!) etc. some other time. I’m thinking of taking AG on a hike tomorrow. Why? Because I never learn, that’s why! So, I need my beauty sleep (a.k.a. my "I-will-be-a-patient-mother" sleep).
I was the one who approached you at the bookstore. I’m glad you thought it was “cool” and not “weird and stalker-esque.” It was fun to see people I “know” so well.
I had a great time. I got a couple of books signed, but I forgot my camera, so no pictures
Also, I got lots of knitting done during Stephanie’s talk and while waiting in line to get my books signed. Yay! Fun AND knitting progress!
It was fun to meet you in person!

Trust me, you didn’t look preggers in person! Keep the shirt. I had a great time meeting you and you and Lorette made standing in line for an hour waiting to see Stephanie a real pleasure. Even if I was the only one without groupies!
