Actually this is a Thursday sky. I took this photo the day before we left on vacation.
Do you see a mountain? A very large mountain that rises to a height of 14 thousand feet? No? This is the direction of the mountain. Gives you an idea of how that thing completely disappears behind the clouds. During the winter and spring weeks will go by without seeing any sign of Rainier.
Ahh…yes…and when it clears there will probably be snow on the peak. We have snow on Pikes Peak this morning and our temps are dropping, dropping, dropping – it was 36 degrees when I woke up yesterday. Fall is in the air and it is time to crank out some wool socks.
