Anna Grace saw the ENT this week and it was a pretty good visit. One ear still appears a bit dull but testing shows there is no fluid present in the canal. (This is good). The other ear looked perfectly fine. So, no tubes as of now. The doc does want to test her for allergies and I agree. I agree not just because of the ears but because of AG’s eczema stuff. I have had a curiosity for a while as to whether AG would be positive for a dietary allergy. Getting this tested will quiet that little voice inside my head.
The bad part of this is getting the testing done. Lil’ miss and I will be heading into Auburn tomorrow for a 7 a.m. blood draw. The early time allows us to get to her therapy on time. Nothin’ like starting out the day with pain and needles. I am afraid this might set the tone for the entire day.
In happier news… tomorrow is also the day we set off for a little adventure: returning to San Juan Island. Dana is taking a half day off of work so hopefully we’ll get on the ferry a little earlier than last time. We’re taking Dana’s folks up there and I think they’ll really enjoy it. We’ll be staying in an area called Snug Harbor (I think that’s what its called!) and I’m hoping that we can see an Orca. This is supposed to be about the time of year that you can see them so I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
Well, must go. Have to get up at the crack of dawn tomorrow. This should be fun.
Glad she didn’t need tubes. All my kids do okay–even after the blood struggle–it’s like a release. Good luck. What about skin testing? With all those pricks? They did it on the younger one’s back?
YAY for no surgery! I hope the allergy testing goes well!
I love the pics of AG at the aerospace museum, so adorable!!
Great news about the surgery! Have fun this weekend!
Good to hear that there won’t be any surgery.
