Where o’ Where Are We Going????

A cabin has been rented.

The camera batteries are charged and the suitcases are packed.

We’re heading out to explore the Olympic National Park.   I’m hoping the weather improves as one of the things I’m dying to do is go up to Hurricane Ridge.   If the weather clears up we should have quite a view. But if it is still rainy and cloudy we’ll be lucky to see five feet ahead of ourselves. You can check out the view yourselves by clicking here.   It’s a webcam hosted by the National Parks Service.

We’ve rented a cabin outside the town of Sequim (supposedly pronounce squim unless somebody is pullin’ my leg).  We’re taking a ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island (I think) and then another ferry over to the Olympic Peninsula  oops we’re driving over a bridge from Bainbridge Island to the Olympic Peninsula I think.  Dana took the day off of work so we’ll  be puttin’ Anna Grace in the car just after lunch and hoping she naps a good chunk of the travel time.  We shall see.

Eris is making the trip with us.  I’m planning on doing a little bit of car knitting and a little bit of cabin knitting.

I’ve got some posts in the hopper for the weekend.  We’ll get back on Sunday night and I’ll hopefully have tons of photos.

  1. No indeedy – they are not pulling your leg. It is indeed pronounced “squim”. Once you can pronounce that and Puyallup without hesistation you are practically a native! Would you believe that I have lived here 25 years and have NEVER been to Hurrican Ridge? Unbelievable!
