So this is probably the equivalent of an EgoGoogle (where you google your own name) but…. when I go to Bloglines to see how many subscribers I have (I know… I’m pathetic!) there are three different things that come up when you search on my blog name. One says I have 6 subscribers, one says 32 subscribers and one says I have just one. Which one is right? Why do I have three different listings like that? Are the six and the 1 included in the 32 or do I add them all up (i.e. I have 32 + 1 + 6 subcribers)?
Thoughts? Ideas?
I have no answer, but my Bloglines feed for you lists 32 subscribers, 17 of which are public. How are you searching to see your number of subscribers?
It’s probably due to the fact that when folks subscribe, they have a choice of multiple feed types — atom, xml, rss, etc. — and whatever they choose, that’s one set of subscribers, and then there are sets for whatever other types of feeds your blog is available in.
Now I will have to go check MY blog and see how many subs I have!
Yup, it’s that you have 3 different types of feeds to choose from. So, add up all 3 numbers, and that will give you the total # of subscribers!
This is interesting…must go research my own 😉 ..I did notice when I want to subribe some people have one box and some time three to put a check in. I don’t know the difference of them all.
