Today we had some tacky tourist time. It was fun. I didn’t know that the Experience Music Project and carnival rides, etc etc were all around the space needle. I just thought we were headin’ to the needle and that was it. AG was not (and I repeat NOT) in a mood that we could try to go into the Experience Music Project or the Children’s Museum but I think we’ll try to do each of these things quite soon.
Here’s the photos…..

Looking north. There’s a teeny tiny Mount Baker in the background (center).
Check out all the sailboats on Lake Washington.
Looking west. Olympic mountains and Puget Sound.
Looking southwest.
Looking northwest. Puget sound and Olympic mountains.
Looking south to the Seattle Skyline.
Looking east to the Cascade Mountains.
On the way back to Enumclaw, Dana wanted to show me a different route. I’ve been having lots of trouble getting Anna Grace to therapy due to frequent accidents or construction on Hwy 164. I knew when we moved out here that traffic could be an issue. But to be quite honest we I haven’t had much trouble with traffic when heading to Seattle, Tacoma, etc. Traveling to Kent for therapy, however, has recently turned into quite an adventure. What normally was a 35 minute trip has recently been anywhere from 45 minutes to 90 minutes. There’s no predictability.
After one of these recent accidents that made Dana late to work, he started looking for more back roads. Today we took one of them and drove through the farm lands between Kent, Auburn, Black Diamond and Enumclaw. We not only had great views of the mountains we also saw lots of animals. There were your usual horses and cows but then we also saw donkeys, alpaca, llamas and lots of sheep. It was great. That’s a much better way to travel back and forth to Kent. Much better.
the sail boats are on Lake Union if I’m not mistaken…
Lake Washington is beyond the freeway. Lake Union sits between the Space Needle and the Freeway.
